Key Functions of PE Wax in Hot Melt Adhesives:

• Lubricant:

  • Internal Lubricant: PE wax helps reduce friction between polymer chains during processing, improving the flow of the material within the extruder.
  • External Lubricant: It also acts on the surface of the polymer, reducing friction between the polymer and the processing equipment, preventing sticking and ensuring smooth extrusion.

• Dispersing Agent:

  • PE wax enhances the dispersion of pigments, fillers, and other additives in the polymer matrix, leading to a more uniform color and consistent quality in the final product.

• Processing Aid:

  • It improves the processing efficiency by lowering the viscosity of the polymer melt, which facilitates easier processing at lower temperatures and reduces energy consumption.

• Anti-blocking Agent:

  • PE wax reduces the tendency of the final product, such as films or sheets, to stick together, making handling and processing easier.

• Gloss Enhancer:

  • It can increase the surface gloss of the final product, giving it a more attractive appearance.

• Stabilizer:
